Mixed feelings:

#2's flight on Saturday was cancelled, so an extra two days and...I was both pleased and a little let down. The single mom gig is hard, and I was sort of looking forward to just caring for myself for a week or so. I've been up for two hours and probably should try to sleep some more. Going into work tomorrow (today) to check on some things. Have been off since Thursday, which has been nice. Trying to get the house in shape for parental visit.

I wanted to write a long review of Kill the Moon and answer the comments on the last post exhaustively but Life has intervened as it is wont to do.

Suffice it to say that I liked it pretty much, except for the science which required enough hand-waving to endanger hypothermia in bystanders, and I watched it twice which I seldom do.

It's been a long strange ride, but there is no joy there any more. I'm stubborn and resistant to change so I'll probably finish this season but it's sad.

So I'm off at a course, quite possibly my last since work keeps going to hell. I'll learn some stuff and enjoy the time alone. Hotel upgrade has given me the equivalent of a nice small apartment. We start at 7:45 tomorrow with breakfast and the dreaded social stuff. Then seminars and labwork and discussion.

First, Sisters Update. Do not know if I will finish. Most of the remaining scenes are wrap-up and planned and fun, if BIC, writing. There is however one big scene which is a little anxiety-producing. Cross your fingers.
